Maiden Voyage.

Well after all the fixing and cleaning The Galavan was finally ready for it's maiden voyage.
 We packed up Friday night and were all ready to go Saturday morning we waited for the kids to wake up before getting into The Galavan and heading out.

Left Elmvale around 8:30 drove through Wasaga Beach, and onto Collingwood which was my first experience driving The Galavan in traffic OK it was light traffic but still more than Elmvale. we made a brief stop to adjust rattles than off through Thornbury, Owen Sound, and Wiarton the home of Wiarton Willie the word famous ground hog.

a couple of years ago they went to wake him up for ground hog day only to find he was dead, not a great way to have a ground hog day festival.

After Wiarton and a rainy drive

We got to Tobamory which is a cute little town at the end of the peninsula, where we had a walk about and a fish and chip lunch.
Tobamory is where the Ferry to Manitoulin Island sails from and is a very popular dive destination with Fathom Five National water park just offshore.

Here is the northern end of the Bruce Trail, I think Oscar is hoping we don't do the whole thing.

After lunch we got to the Bruce Peninsula National park and Cypress Lake Campground.

the Sun peaked out for a moment.

 Setting up The Galavan was quick and easy it took about 20 leisurely minutes to level it up and get the awing and patio set up.

 we went for walk with Oscar.

 Cypress lake is really quite beautiful with lots of interesting rocks.

After our walk,  time for our fist dinner in The Galavan.

and another walk to watch the sunset.

All in all the first day of our first outing was successful, no major problems except for a bit of a plumbing malfunction, which was my fault and easily fixed, The Galavan preformed flawlessly.
